Morning Work - Bell Ringers - What's the Big Idea?

Students benefit from bell ringers, bellringers  enable students to start thinking about


concepts that will be discussed in class. Bell ringers and morning work  allow students to get in the habit of transitioning concepts in school to concepts on their own. Students benefit from bell ringers because they become more engaged as they typically lead to discussion to begin the lesson. 

Teachers benefit from morning work/ bell ringers because they are able to gauge student understanding. They can reinforce and re-introduce topics. Level of understanding and spiraling back are imperative for student's to truly understand standards and concepts.  Bell ringers / morning work also get students settled, focused and ready to work.
