Women in History Lessons, Units, Activities and Freebies!

Women have played an integral part of our history since time began, they have been instrumental in shaping the world and in keeping civilization alive - often silently - in the background - and absent from the pages of history.

The assumption that women were not central to the political and historical community is perpetrated by the men who created and hold the narrative. By researching and exposing our students to women who dared to be bold and dared to work to shape our world we can change that narrative. Additionally, we must also expose our students to the most silent women. The ones in the background who are constant, ever-present and make all things - great and small - possible.

Below are resources perfect for studying women in history.
